Keep Britain OUT of Foreign War!

They haven't got the money to pay nurses a decent wage. There's no money to help house homeless veterans as another cold snap looms. No money for all sorts of local services. But there IS the money to send a significant proportion of Britain's main battle tanks to the Ukraine!

After speaking to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on a call on Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sent his thanks to the UK after it confirmed it will provide Kyiv with a whole squadron of Challenger 2 tanks. That means twelve of them - at £40 million each - although only four are to be sent in the first batch, with the rest to follow.

Zelensky tweeted: 'Always strong support of the UK is now impenetrable and ready for challenges. In a conversation with the Prime Minister, I thanked for the decisions that will not only strengthen us on the battlefield, but also send the right signal to other partners.'

Following the call a No 10 spokesperson said: 'The leaders reflected on the current state of Russia's war in Ukraine, with successive Ukrainian victories pushing Russian troops back and compounding their military and morale issues.

As usual, Number 10 us lying. The Ukrainians are NOT winning the war, but are being ground to mincemeat. The Russians withdrew in two areas, in order to shorten their defensive lines and minimise casualties, but they were not "pushed back". That is very different to withdrawal. And, in any case, that was months ago, and since then the Russians have been killing nine Ukrainians or NATO mercenaries for every one man they have lost.

Just as Western sanctions have failed totally, and only hurt us, so too NATO's proxy war in Ukraine is turning into a military disaster.

So what the hell is Sunak doing throwing 12 Challenger tanks into the fray, at our expense. With around 150 of these operational in the entire British Army, a dozen is nearly a tenth of our entire stock. And the number we have is so pathetically small that even if Sunak sent them all, it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference to the outcome of conflict. All it does is to prolong the tragedy for a little longer, and get even more Ukrainian conscripts killed.

Ukraine is officially the most corrupt country in the whole of Europe. Its openly neo-Nazi army units spent eight years shelling and killing Russian-speaking civilians in eastern Ukraine - an area which was Russian for hundreds of years before the Communists turned it over to rule from Kiev. On top of that, NATO's insistence on putting its missiles and bases ever closer to the borders of Russia crossed one of Moscow's most important 'red lines' and wantonly provoked the war.

But, in fact of course, the rights and wrongs in this distant foreign quarrel are none of our business. This war has NOTHING to do with Britain or the British people. And the unelected Prime Minister has ZERO mandate or right to throw British military equipment and our taxes into it. Especially when this meddling is dragging us closer and closer to direct involvement and to an escalation which could get us all killed.

Do you really want to die in a nuclear Holocaust for a corrupt actor-turned-dictator whose main claim to fame before being elected (on a promise of making peace with Russia) was his ability to play the piano with his penis?
